Notes
Strong day on the water with excellent conditions. Starlink performed flawlessly—reliable internet all day with no interruptions, making it a viable setup for remote work while fishing.
Caddis hatch was in full effect. Fish were actively rising throughout the float, though getting consistent takes required dialing in subsurface presentation.
Cotton Candy egg fly was the clear producer, accounting for three fish. Fish showed preference for the dropper over the top fly.
Water conditions were about as good as they get—clear and stable at ~1430 CFS. This feels like near-ideal spring flow, though slightly concerning given low snowpack heading into summer.
Notable detail: New moon phase. Worth tracking against future trips, especially with increased bug activity and fish movement observed.
